Many owners simply don’t have either the time or perhaps the experience to move their vessel any significant distance in offshore waters. There may be crew issues. Timing issues. Weather delays.  Irvine Yachting's premier delivery services can help move your sail or power vessel from one port to another.  Each delivery route is unique, and depends on many variables, including distance, vessel, season and weather; once all variables are considered, rest assured that the best, most efficient float plan will be put it action. Captain Irvine has been on offshore passages from Newfoundland, Canada to Key West, Florida, as well as experience in  Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, Caribbean, in addition to a Transatlantic passage to Italy.  He’s even brought a vessel across  mid-Florida on the Okeechobee Canal, where Brahma Cattle and orange groves outnumber people. 

Irvine Yachting offers training on  YOUR OWN BOAT, to both new owners as well seasoned boaters looking to hone their skills or take a refresher. Captain Irvine’s diverse background aboard many vessels, whether racing, cruising, or teaching, can give owners the added knowledge and skills to feel more confident in their own abilities.   Jeff will bring his own personal touch and draw on his many experiences working for past organizations including San Diego Yacht Club, Sail Caribbean Voyages, J-World, and Sailing Florida Charters.  Specific areas of focus could include:  Anchoring, Docking, Route Planning. Sailing fundamentals, including sail trim. Racing concepts, tactics, and strategies. Basic boat and diesel engine maintenance. Any other topics of interest. 

As a resident of Charleston, Captain Irvine is available for hire locally to assist owners with their vessel. Captain Irvine knows the harbor, having raced on the College of Charleston sailing team during the 90’s and more recently racing in CORA regattas and numerous Race Weeks.  Jeff also is a primary captain for Charleston Sailing Charters, where he sails guests around the beautiful Charleton Harbor aboard SV Fate, a 50' Beneteau.   Click here, to learn more about the Captain.
